Cut Flowers by Hariz Fadhilah
Inspired by the long line free verse style of Walt Whitman, and the vernacular of Allen Ginsberg and Jack Kerouac who were part of the Beat generation; a movement in America of young people in the 1950s and 60s who rejected conventional society and valued free self-expression. With the zine book the author aims to inspire the young people of Brunei, especially the youths of my generation who are often overlooked or perceived as naive or incapable of more responsibility.
