I express my deepest gratitude to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, The Most Compassionate and Merciful, who graced me with strength, perseverance and patience and inspired in this heart of mine the desire to publish a humble book seeking reflect the majesty of Islam. All praise to be Him for the divine gift of eyesight. In this book, I also want to demonstrate the rapid change and development taking place in the holy lands today. To aid this understanding I have included some nostalgic photographs of Bruneians going on pilgrimage during the eras of seafaring and early air travel, which serve as an opportunity to compare then and now.
