The book, The Rakis Poems (Syair Rakis) reveals the biography of the author, Al-Marhum Pengiran Shahbandar Pengiran Muhammad Salleh ibnu Pengiran Sharmayuda who was appointed by Sultan of Brunei as his representative as a Governor of Sarawak in 1820’s.
