The Catalyst Towards Victory
The Catalyst Towards Victory is a dissertation by Dr Muhammad Hadi bin Muhammad Melayong as a requirement for his Ph.D at the University of Hull. It was later adapted for printing in its present book form. This book being discussed about the political upheavals and historical developments in Brunei between 1961 until 1967 where as Brunei’s had faced major political development from the announcement of Malaysia proposal in May 1961 by Tunku Abdul Rahman, the Prime Minister of the Federation of Malaya up to the abdication of His Majesty the late, (Al-Marhum) Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien III (SOAS III) the 28th Sultan of Brunei in 1967. Among the titles of the chapters are ‘Response Towards the Malaysian Proposal’, ‘The Brunei Revolt of December 1962’, ‘Brunei’s Refusal to Join Malaysia’, ‘Foreign Involvement’, and ‘Political Development 1963–1967’.
